Graduate Practicum & Internship Program

Prior Clinical Placement Required

KBC Therapy & Wellness accepts graduate counseling students who have completed at least one semester of supervised clinical training in a setting outside of private practice, such as:

Community mental health/MHMR

Hospital/Inpatient or outpatient behavioral health

Nonprofit behavioral health organization

Residential treatment program or similar setting

Why We Require Prior Clinical Experience

We believe developing counselors benefit from experiencing multiple levels of care, clinical populations, and organizational environments during their graduate training. Exposure to diverse settings builds clinical flexibility, cultural competence, and a deeper understanding of the behavioral health system. KBC’s practicum and internship program is designed to build upon that foundation by providing experience in an outpatient private-practice setting.
