Hi there! I am Auttaria Shinault, LPC-A.
First off—deep breath. If you are reading this, you are probably considering therapy, which
already makes you incredibly brave (and slightly curious—my favorite combo). Welcome! I’m
so glad you are here.
I specialize in creating a safe and nonjudgmental space where you can breathe, unpack, and just
be. Whether you are navigating the aftermath of trauma, riding the waves of anxiety, or
untangling a tricky chapter of your life story, I am here to walk alongside you—no map required,
just a willingness to show up.

My approach to therapy is a gentle blend of person-centered, narrative, and cognitive
behavioral therapy (CBT).
That means:
1. You lead the way (person-centered),
2. We explore the stories you tell yourself (narrative),
3. And we challenge the unhelpful thought gremlins whispering nonsense in your brain (CBT).

I believe healing happens in the context of trust, humor, and the occasional awkward silence that
I promise it won’t last forever. I show up authentically, sometimes with metaphors, sometimes with
laughter, and always with deep respect for your experience.
What you can expect during our first session

We will start with where you are. We will go at your pace. It’s not a pop quiz, and there will be
no emotional gymnastics required. Think of it as a low-pressure meet-and-greet for your story
and my ears. If you have never been to therapy before, no worries. I’ve got grounding tools to
help you settle in.

Whether you are crawling in, burnt out, or just tired from your own overthinking, this is a space for
you to feel safe, see, and maybe even a little lighter.
Ready when you are!
