Jessie Butler – Professional Graduate
Hi, I’m Jessie! I’m a Graduate Professional at Capella University. I work with children (ages 6+), teens, and adults, and I especially love supporting young clients through play therapy, because sometimes the best way to work through big feelings is with a paintbrush, a puppet, or a game of Uno.
Whether it’s anxiety, behavior struggles, trauma, relationship stress, or just navigating life’s curveballs, I aim to create a space where you (or your child) can feel safe, understood, and supported. My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed, and I meet each client exactly where they are, with patience, curiosity, and zero judgment.
I have received specialized training in Motivational Interviewing, Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®), and Nurturing Parenting, and I use those tools to help families build stronger relationships, emotional regulation, and confidence.
Clients often describe me as down-to-earth, easy to talk to, and playful in all the right ways. Whether you’re a parent looking for support, a teen sorting through tough emotions, or someone simply trying to feel a little more like themselves. I’m here to help.
I am currently working under the supervision of Kenyatta Black-Jacobs, LPC-S.
